Aerospace Connector

Background

It’s a aerospace connecter used for testing process of connections This allows you to build your connectors from 10 contact points up to a maximum of 250 contact points.

Project Scope

We designed and developed the complete product starting from Conceptualization, Detailed engineering, Development of Prototypes, Design Validation, Manufacturing Drawings Release, We have even being supplying components also.

Product features & Highlights

Initially the Connectors were made out of extruded aluminum casings with post machining. The pin housings are secured with machined screws. On either side of the connector, aluminum side plates that are held in with machined screws loosening out over time. Two screws used to fasten the fulcrum were loosening over time due to vibration and multiple use of the clip. The prongs that hold the connector in place are steel with spring pins pressed in. They are connected to the casing of the connector by two flat head screws. 13 separate casings have to be milled for various sizes and Assembly costs are high due to a large amount of hardware used.

The now we have designed lightweight and rugged connecters made of plastic, with only three molds, with this 3 parts we can create many configuration Just by sandwiching mid connecters in between left and right connecter and held in place with dowels. In our design the metal prong into the connector was made as insert mould by this method there will be no post machining and problem or loosening of screws.
