Disintegration Tester
Background
The disintegration tester is a device used to determine how quickly the tablet breaks down into smaller particles, allowing for a greater surface area and availability of the drug when taken by a patient.
Disintegration tests are useful for assessing the potential importance of formulation and process variables on the pharmaceutical properties of the tablet, and as a control procedure to evaluate the quality reproducibility.
Project Scope
We designed and developed the product for a leading manufacturer and exporter of pharmaceutical Tablet physical testing instruments including Conceptualization, Detailed engineering, Development of Prototypes, Design Validation, Manufacturing Drawings Release, and Development of Parts.
Product Features
Disintegration Test Apparatus is a solid-state instrument designed for the accurate estimation of the disintegration time of tablets as per IP/USP standards. The instrument is designed to test two batches of six tablets, simultaneously. It is used in quality control labs and R & D to determine compliance with the disintegration requirement of the Tablet and Capsule as per USP/IP standards.
The system has user-friendly prompts, which guide you throughout the measurement process. Microprocessor Disintegration Test Apparatus is equipped with 2 lines alphanumeric LCD display with backlit for displaying various test parameters and 20 soft touch membrane type keys with full numeric keypad.
The unit is provided with two glass beakers having a capacity of 1000 ml, with an arrangement to hold temperature sensors placed in the sturdy, acrylic water bath. The large spread-out stainless steel heater ensures perfectly uniform heating. The instrument has a dual-channel temperature system with sensors to monitor the test temperature of the water bath and the beaker is accurately maintained at +0.3° C. The basket is accurately controlled and maintained as USP, IP Specifications
